I started in my library in September 2020. No one had weeded in a serious way for at least fifteen years. Weeding saved me. First, it was something I felt control of, which I desperately needed being in a new position in the middle of COVID chaos. Second, I was able to get to know my collection. Buried beneath falling apart and filthy books, old books and the like, were some gems.
